As part of the Conscience Foundation's Conscience Academy project, former MP and lawyer and women's rights activist Filiz Kerestecioğlu shared her lecture titled "The Past, Present and Future of the Women's Movement in Turkey with World Examples" with the participants on Wednesday, May 29. The event took place on an online platform and was met with great interest from the participants.
In her presentation, Kerestecioğlu gave examples from the historical development of women's movements around the world and discussed in detail how the women's movement in Turkey has evolved from the past to the present and what path it may follow in the future. The course aimed to increase the participants' knowledge and awareness of women's rights.
During the event, Filiz Kerestecioğlu shared important information about the past and present of the women's movement in Turkey. She also made predictions about how the movement in Turkey could take shape in the future, based on examples of successful women's movements around the world.
At the end of the lecture, participants asked Kerestecioğlu various questions and an interactive Q&A session was held. This session allowed participants to understand the subject in more depth and provided them with the opportunity to ask questions they were curious about regarding the women's movement.
