How Unresolved Traumas Affect Our Lives? Our New Video is Out!

Hello dear readers and volunteers,

As Vicdan Foundation, we continue to shed light on important issues to protect and improve our mental health. We are very happy to share the third video of our "Coffee Break Psychology Talks" series with you! ☕🎥

In this new video, we look at the topic of trauma . We all have moments in our lives where we experience various difficulties, but not every difficult event leads to trauma. So, what is trauma ? How do we know that not every difficulty is trauma? What effects do unresolved traumas have on our lives?

What was discussed in the video?

Our psychological counselors Sena Gergerlioğlu and Saliha Ceren Özdemir deeply examine what trauma is, its symptoms, and how unresolved traumas affect our personal lives and relationships. They discuss how intense emotions such as anger, sadness, and fear can dominate our lives and how we can cope with these emotions.

  • What are the symptoms of trauma in our lives?

  • How do we know when we have experienced trauma?

  • How do unresolved traumas affect our relationships and mental health?

In our video where we seek answers to these questions, we also talk about the steps to be taken for the healing process. Increasing emotional awareness , facing inner honesty , and getting help are among the important steps that open the door to healing.
