On the evening of October 29, 2024, as Vicdan Foundation, we successfully held another important event for our volunteers. The EU Civil Think Program-based project training was held online via Google Meet under the leadership of our Projects Commission member Fatih Alakuş. The training aimed to reinforce the knowledge and skills that our volunteers can use in the project creation and development processes.
Purpose and Content of Education
This training aimed to introduce the EU Sivil Düşün Programme in particular, and to teach how to create projects in civil society activities and how to interact with structures that will support these projects. In the training, participants were provided with detailed information about the general goals of the EU Sivil Düşün Programme, the opportunities it offers and the themes it supports.
Fatih Alakuş emphasized that the support provided by this program offers significant opportunities for civil society organizations and individual participants. The focal points of the training were gathered under the following headings:
Purpose of the Sivil Düşün Program: It was explained how the program contributes to the development and strengthening of civil society.
Becoming a Community: Community creation processes, points to be considered in this process, and strengthening steps were discussed.
What Topics Can Be Study Subjects?: The themes and study subjects supported by the program were emphasized.
How to Apply?: The application process, important steps to consider and tips for success are explained in detail.
Presentation and Q&A Section
In the training, the presentation was planned as 45 minutes and the following 30-minute question-answer session clarified the subjects that the volunteers were curious about. Fatih Alakuş answered the questions from the participants in the interactive part of the training and offered tips for the participants to develop their project ideas.
Projects Committee and Our Foundation's Vision
As Vicdan Foundation, we see project management as one of the most powerful tools for creating social change and impact. For this purpose, we guide and support our volunteers through the Projects Commission we established within our foundation. This training, organized under the leadership of Fatih Alakuş, was a step in line with the vision of our commission. The Projects Commission continues to guide our volunteers in the design, development and implementation processes of projects that will provide social benefit.
This training on the EU Sivil Düşün Program provided our volunteers with significant gains in the field of project management. Participants were motivated to develop new projects and learned the important points to consider during the application process. As our foundation, we are very happy to support our volunteers in producing projects that will create social benefit through such trainings.
With this training, our volunteers took an important step in realizing new project ideas and benefiting from the opportunities offered by the Sivil Düşün Program.
